Last piece in the "happy" series of 1930's portraits
The original photo was found randomly at a swapshop and I found it highly intriguing...making me wonder about these people's lives and knowing that I will never find out. Once again, they are ghosts of the past. And although the photo was black and white, color has been given to them, ghostly colors. 20"x20" oil on canvas, June '09 |
