I have been waiting to paint this one for a while now, the photo comes from the cover of one of the books I have been reading on child soldiers. This painting is 10"x10" oil on canvas

I think this one is one of your best pieces. I love that you use some flesh color on the skin, it feels more human and emotional... It’s easy to have a strong connection with this work. I also like that you are still using the bright colors, as in your other paintings it gives a sense of and ironic and cruel children playground.

Keep the good work,

Miguel

thank you so much!

thank you for the compliments! I didn't really use any flesh tones, just purple and yellow/orange/red, but it works togethor to look strangly (sur)real. :)

I agree with Miguel, the "stained appearance" and particular colors are nicely blended in this one, bringing out a complicated sense of humanity, or the loss of it, while appealing on a more aesthetic level. Nice work.

i like the way you painted your subject into a compt.manip effect, very effective and different, great idea:)
